Dr. Helen Philips – Owner

Helen Philips attended Texas A&M University, where she received her Bachelors in Animal Science in 2002 and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She moved to Brenham, Texas, in May of 2006 and worked for a mixed animal practice. In September 2009, Dr. Philips started Philips Veterinary Services in a 1700 sq. ft. rented building. It took two years for her and her husband to design and build the veterinary hospital. In December 2011, Philips Veterinary Hospital was opened. Dr. Philips is married to Chad Philips, who is an active member and advisor to the hospital. Matthew Philips is their son. Dr. Philips volunteers with 4H programs, the South Central Cow Calf Program, Ag Day, and the Washington County Fair. She has three dogs and a cat. She raises purebred Brangus and ARB cattle.


Dr. Stephanie Adamcik – Veterinarian

Dr. Stephanie Adamcik is a 2019 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In May 2022, Dr. Adamcik joined Philips Veterinary Hospital after practicing for 3 years in Crockett, Texas. Dr. Adamcik is an Austin County native from Sealy, Texas, where her parents still reside. She graduated with both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. She loves to practice large and small animal medicine. Her special interests include: preventative medicine, cattle herd management, canine reproduction, and equine dentistry. During her free time, Dr. Adamcik enjoys playing ball and hiking with her dogs (Avery and Stella), helping on her family’s Red Angus cattle ranch, and going on road trips.


Dr. Sammi Deisher – Veterinarian

Dr. Sammi Deisher received her Bachelors in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 2013. She worked in various animal-related jobs, including being a small animal veterinary technician, for several years before applying to vet school. In January 2022, she graduated from The University of Sydney School of Veterinary Science in Australia. While she loves working with animals of all sizes, Dr. Deisher also enjoys traveling with her husband John, baking desserts, and finding new places to eat good food.


Chad Philips – Business Manager

Chad Philips has been a part of Philips Veterinary Hospital since it was started and covers a variety of jobs and a multitude of titles, most notably Business Manager. He is currently employed full-time with the USDA and Safety Inspection Service and is also very involved with the business aspects of PVH on the weekends and after hours. He also serves as an emergency technician for after-hour emergencies on weekends, which has allowed many of our clients to get to know him personally.


Tina J – Operations Coordinator

Tina has been with Dr. Philips for over 16 years, and she is invaluable to the hospital, performing a wide variety of duties. She refers to herself as a “Jack of all Trades but the Master of none”. She has a wonderful husband and three loving children (two girls and a boy). She also has Zeke and Survivor, her cats, and Harbor and Theo, her dogs. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies, and sleeping.


Tonya B – Receptionist

Tonya has been with Dr. Philips since 2009 and loves to love on all the animals at the hospital. She is blessed with a wonderful husband, three amazing sons, delightful daughters-in-love, and marvelous grandchildren. Tonya’s family also includes 2 dogs, 1 elderly cat, 3 horses, and some cattle. Her Church family is very important to her, and she enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, scuba diving, reading, traveling, and much more.


Linda B – Receptionist

Linda joined Dr. Philips’ team in October 2016. She is happily married to David Bruyneel and has 3 children and 4 handsome grandsons. In addition to her children, she has 2 cats named Boo Kitty and Chip and a dog named Dutchess (and yes, they are spoiled, just like her children). Her hobbies include cruising, baking, arts and crafts, and decorating for the holidays.


Katherine L – Receptionist

Katherine joined Dr. Philips in February 2021. She is a single mother of 2 beautiful daughters, and she has 5 precious grandchildren. She has a fur baby named “Blessed.”. She loves working for Philips Veterinary Hospital because she enjoys working with animals and people. Likes to be social and gives most of her free time to help with her family.


Carolyn L – Receptionist

Carolyn joined Dr. Philips in June 2021. She and her hubby, Donald, were blessed with a son and daughter-in-law, two daughters and son-in-law’s, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and a rescue Aussie named “Sandy.”. Her hobbies include: cooking, baking, canning, gardening, fishing, and almost anything outdoors. She enjoys spending precious time with family and friends playing cards (especially “Pitch”), games, and dominoes.


Cheryl M – Mixed Animal Technician / Receptionist

Cheryl has been a veterinary technician since 1995. She has been with Dr. Philips since 2010. She has two great sons, who enjoy everything she does. She has a wonderful man by her side that supports and shares all that she loves. She enjoys all animals. She has eight dogs, five cats, two horses, and cattle. She loves fishing, being out on the water, all hunting, reading, baseball, cattle shows, riding horses, and just being outdoors, spending time with family.


Jennifer S – Mixed Animal Technician

Jennifer joined the Philips Veterinary Hospital team in November of 2015. She has 3 beautiful children. In addition to her children, Jennifer has 2 dogs and 1 cat, several horses and raises Beef Master cattle. This allows Jennifer to pursue her passion outside of the workplace. In the future, Jennifer aspires to further broaden her veterinary knowledge and skills by working at Philips Veterinary Hospital.


Paula J – Technician

Paula has worked for Philips Veterinary Hospital since 2016. Her mother, Tina, also works here. She loves to read, watch films, and enjoy time with her family. She has 2 beautiful cats named Coraline and Steve and 2 dogs, a Blue Heeler named G.W. and a Chihuahua named Drago.


Carrie A – Kennel Technician

Carrie has worked for Philips Veterinary Hospital since 2020. She grew up raising large and small animals in 4H & FFA. She loves to read and go on adventures with her son. She is currently going to school for massage therapy. They have recently rescued a cat named Arceus, who is named after her son’s favorite Pokemon.


Jaelynn S – Veterinary Technician

Jaelynn started at Philips Veterinary in July 2023 but has been in this line of work for almost 10 years. She is a Brenham native and attended and graduated from BHS in 2019. She has 1 child (Grayslyn Sloane), who is almost 2. She came from a rodeo family, so plenty of experience with livestock. We had dogs when I was a child, but none as I’ve gotten older. I’ve loved animals my whole life and truly enjoy my career as a Vet Tech.


Cory R. –  Veterinary Technician

Cori joined our team in August of 2024. Cori graduated from Blinn College with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2020. Cori and her husband Wyatt have a lab named Dex and a blue heeler named Maeve, along with two shop cats. In her free time, Cori enjoys being outside, gardening, and riding around on the mule, checking cows


Christina J – Kennel Technician

Christina has worked here since June 2024, but before that, she volunteered and helped out every day here at the hospital before she was hired. She has 6 cats: Cheeto, Copper, Rihito, Vader, Thai, and KO. She has 1 dog, an Australian shepherd named Diesel, who loves to play. Christina loves to express most of her emotions through art and also through dying her hair. She has a soft spot for super cute animals.
