Dr. Helen Philips – Owner

Helen Philips attended Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelors in Animal Science in 2002. Upon completion, she attended TAMU College of Veterinary Medicine until graduation in 2006. She moved to Brenham, Texas in May 2006 where she was employed by Brenham Veterinary Hospital. In September 2009, Dr. Philips started Philips Veterinary Services in a 1700 sq. ft. building. For over two years she worked to build Philips Veterinary Hospital. In December 2011 she opened the new clinic. Dr. Philips is married to Chad Philips who is an active member and advisor to Philips Veterinary Hospital. Matthew Philips is their son. Dr. Philips volunteers helping 4Hers with the veterinary assistant program. She has three dogs, two horses, and one cats. She raises back grounded feeder cattle in South Texas and show heifers.

Dr. Brandon Schulte – Associate Veterinarian

Brandon Schulte attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelors in Animal Science in 2006. Upon completion he attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine located at St. Kitts. This once in a lifetime experience led him back to Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 2012. He began working for Dr. Philips soon afterwards. Dr. Schulte and his wife, Emily, have a son, Callen and a daughter, Claire . Their animal family includes a Yorkshire terrier and a Yellow Lab. Dr. Schulte and his father also own Circle S Cattle where they raise Brahman and F1 cattle.

Dr. Brooke Eckermann Mueller – Veterinarian

Dr. Mueller and her husband, Bradley, have one daughter, Parker Grace. They attend Cowboy Church of Brenham and raise registered Hereford and Brangus cattle. Their fur family consists of three dogs: Jack, Hailey and Rip and one cat, Dennis.

Chad Philips – Business Manager

Chad Philips has been a part of Philips Veterinary Hospital since it was started and covers a variety of job and a multitude of titles, most notably Business Manager. He is currently employed full-time with USDA and Safety Inspection Service, and is also very involved with the business aspects of PVH on the weekends and after hours. He also serves as an emergency technician for after hour emergencies on weekends, which has allowed many of our clients to get to know him personally.

Tina J – Kennel Manager

Tina has been with Dr. Philips for over ten years and she is invaluable to the hospital, performing a wide variety of duties. She refers to herself as a “Jack of all Trades but the Master of none”. She has a wonderful husband and three loving children (two girls and a boy). She also has nine cats and five dogs. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies, and sleeping.

Tonya B – Receptionist

Tonya has been with Dr. Philips since 2009 and loves to love on our animals at the hospital.  She is blessed with a wonderful husband and three sons of whom she is very proud.  Tonya’s family includes a cat, two amazing horses and cattle.  Her church family is very important to her and she enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, scuba diving, reading, traveling and much more.

Jan M – Receptionist

Jan has been with Dr. Philips since 2011 and loves it here.  She loves animals and says this is her “dream job”.  She has one daughter and 2 grandchildren.  She has 7 rescue cats and a bird, also her beloved rescue dog, Shelby.  She loves reading, riding, and working in the garden and yard.

Linda B – Receptionist

Linda joined Dr. Philips’ team in October 2016.  She is happily married to David Bruyneel and has 3 children and 4 handsome grandsons.  In addition to her children, she has a cat, Boo Kitty, and a dog, Dutchess (and yes they are spoiled, just like her children).  Her hobbies include baking, arts and crafts, and decorating.

Kit S – Receptionist

Kit joined Philips Veterinary Hospital in March 2019. She enjoys working in a position where she is surrounded by awesome pets and their people every day. A place where she can pour out her heart into helping those that God has put into her path to help, and being a part of something bigger than herself. She also has an amazing son Cameron who is 4 years old. He is the biggest joy she has ever known. His smile lights up the world. She loves photography, painting, reading and learning something new every day.

Auzanett G – Receptionist

Auzanett is the newest receptionist on the team. She has a huge love of animals with 4 dogs, 2 cats, 1 horse and 5 fish. Her biggest love is God and family. She and her husband Zeke have been together 21 years. They have 3 children Brooklyn, Rylee, and Austin. Ty is their bonus son in law who is proudly serving in the US army. She is very happy to be a part of Philips Vet Hospital.

Erica S – Veterinary Technician

Erica keeps active with her lovely pet family, her dog’s Sochi & Mimosa and her Guinea pigs Cleo, Georgie & Gnocchi. When not hard at work she enjoys Crocheting and enjoying Netflix.

Cheryl M – Mixed Animal Technician

Cheryl has been a veterinary technician for over twenty-five years. She has been with Dr. Philips for over ten years. She has two great boys, who enjoy everything she does. She has a wonderful man by her side that supports and shares all that she loves. She enjoys all animals. She has ten dogs, three cats, two horses, and cattle. She loves fishing, being out on the water, all hunting, reading, baseball, cattle shows, riding horses, and just being outdoors spending time with family.

Jennifer S – Mixed Animal Technician

Jennifer joined the Philips Veterinary Hospital team in November of 2015. She is happily married to Kirk Wilson & has 3 beautiful children. In addition to her children, Jennifer has 2 dogs & 1 cat, several horses & raises Beef Master cattle. This allows Jennifer to pursue her passion outside of the workplace. In the future, Jennifer aspires to further broaden her veterinary knowledge & skill by working at Philips Veterinary Hospital.

Macie M – Mixed Animal Technician

Macie knew from a young age that she wanted to work with animals. She has 2 dogs Diesel & Rosie who love to keep her company. She enjoys spicy food, going to the gym, Karaoke, and relishing a glass of wine while watching the Bachelorette, but her favorite is spending time with friends and family.

Paula J – Kennel Technician

Paula has worked for Philips Veterinary Hospital for 2 years. Her mother, Tina also works here. She loves to read, watch films, and enjoys time with her family. Paula is currently attending Blinn College so she can get her associates in Sociology. After her 2 years at Blinn she is planning to transfer to the University of Texas Arlington.

Carrie A – Kennel Technician

Carrie grew up raising and showing both large and small animals in 4H & FFA. She loves to read, and go on adventures with her energetic little boy. She is currently going to school for massage therapy. She hopes to become a licensed massage therapist and go on to get masters.

Austin R – Kennel Technician

Austin entertains and loves our client’s here at PVH. He enjoys hanging out with his dog Bean, eating spicy food, working out, gaming and music. He is thinking about using his talent’s to serve in the military.

Samantha G – Technician

Samantha joined the team in 2017. She is a graduate from the Vet Tech Institute of Houston. Samantha has 5 fur children: dogs, Willow and Pippy, rabbits, Elsavida and Oggie Boogie, and a ferret Nebula.

Erin G – Technician

Erin joined the team in June 2018. Erin is a Sam Houston State University Alumni. She is the mother of 2 fur babies, Doc Holiday and Sandy. Erin is happily married to Devon George.
