Dr. Helen Philips – Owner

Helen Philips attended Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelors in Animal Science in 2002. Upon completion, she attended TAMU College of Veterinary Medicine until graduation in 2006. She moved to Brenham, Texas in May 2006 where she was employed by Brenham Veterinary Hospital. In September 2009, Dr. Philips started Philips Veterinary Services in a 1700 sq. ft. building. For over two years she worked to build Philips Veterinary Hospital. In December 2011 she opened the new clinic. Dr. Philips is married to Chad Philips who is an active member and advisor to Philips Veterinary Hospital. Matthew Philips is their son. Dr. Philips volunteers helping 4Hers with the veterinary assistant program. She has three dogs, two horses, and one cats. She raises back grounded feeder cattle in South Texas and show heifers.


Dr. Brandon Schulte – Associate Veterinarian

Brandon Schulte attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelors in Animal Science in 2006. Upon completion he attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine located at St. Kitts. This once in a lifetime experience led him back to Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 2012. He began working for Dr. Philips soon afterwards. Dr. Schulte and his wife, Emily, have a son, Callen and a daughter, Claire . Their animal family includes a Yorkshire terrier and a Yellow Lab. Dr. Schulte and his father also own Circle S Cattle where they raise Brahman and F1 cattle.


Dr. Brooke Eckermann – Veterinarian

Dr. Eckermann graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 2010. She began at the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Science in 2011. After graduating in 2015, she began working for Philips Veterinary Hospital. She is originally from Burton, Texas where her family still resides. She is engaged to be married in March of 2017 to Bradley Mueller of Brenham, Texas. Together they have three dogs named Jack, Hailey, and Boss, and two horses named Cutter and Friday.


Chad Philips – Business Manager

Chad Philips has been a part of Philips Veterinary Hospital since it was started and covers a variety of job and a multitude of titles, most notably Business Manager. He is currently employed full-time with USDA and Safety Inspection Service, and is also very involved with the business aspects of PVH on the weekends and after hours. He also serves as an emergency technician for after hour emergencies on weekends, which has allowed many of our clients to get to know him personally.


Tina – Kennel Manager

Tina has been with Dr. Philips for over six years and she is invaluable to the hospital, performing a wide variety of duties. She refers to herself as a “Jack of all Trades but the Master of none”. She has a wonderful husband and three loving children (two girls and a boy). She also has seven cats and five dogs. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies, and sleeping.


Tonya – Receptionist

Tonya has been with Dr. Philips since 2009 and loves to love on our animals at the hospital. She is blessed with a wonderful husband and three sons whom she is very proud of. Tonya’s family includes a dog, a cat, and two amazing horses. Her church family is very important to her and she enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, scuba diving, reading, traveling and much more.


Jan – Receptionist

Jan has been with Dr. Philips since 2011 and loves it here. She loves animals and says this is her “dream job”. She has one daughter and two grandchildren. She has 5 cats and a bird, also her beloved rescue dog, Shelby. She loves reading, riding, and working in the garden and yard.


Linda – Receptionist

Linda joined Dr. Philips team in October 2016. She is happily married to David Bruyneel & has 3 children & 4 handsome grandsons. In addition to her children she has 2 cats, Boo Kitty & Lucky (and yes they are spoiled just like her children). Her hobbies include baking, arts and crafts, and decorating.


Corynn – Receptionist

Corynn has worked at several veterinarian clinics both as a technician and as a receptionist. The highlight of her day is the diversity and the ability to love on the pets that come in. She enjoys playing in the outdoors with her sons & dogs.


Cheryl – Mixed Animal Technician

Cheryl has been a veterinary technician for over twenty years. She has been with Dr. Philips for over six years. She has two great boys. She loves animals. Her family includes five dogs, seven cats, and five horses. She loves reading, riding, horses, fishing, hunting and just being outdoors with cattle.


Ben – Mixed Animal Technician

Ben joined Philips Veterinary Hospital in June of 2012. He has worked previously at other vet clinics, since he was 16. Ben earned his associates in Psychology at Blinn, and plans to attend University of North Texas. He enjoys traveling, keeping his friends busy, and photography. His pet family includes a schnauzer mix named Aladdin, and a new baby girl, Jolene the Brussels Griffon.


Emily – Small Animal Assistant

Emily has been with Dr. Philips for about 2 years. She has, Rueger a deaf Catahoula girl that she rescued as a puppy. She also has a female Blue Heeler named Jessi and a male red Heeler named Ringo. When she’s not working, she’s spending time with her pups and her family. She also enjoys leather tooling and fishing in her spare time


Jerome – Mixed Animal Veterinary Technician

Jerome joined Philips Veterinary Hospital in 2016, however he has been a technician for 6 years and has done countless hours of volunteer work for the ASPCA. In his spare time he is a fire performer and portrays Achilles at the Texas Renaissance Festival. He is married with one child and his fur family consists of 6 cats and one elderly dog.


Andie – Kennel Technician

Andie has been with Dr. Philips for 2 years. She graduated from Whitehouse High School, where she received her Veterinarian’s Assistant Certification. She is currently attending Blinn College for Agriculture Science and Technology, with the hope of receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. In her spare time, Andie enjoys training and riding horses, and traveling. Her animal family includes Dixie, her service dog, and her two pets Riley and Lady.


Simone – Kennel Technician

Simone has been here since 2015. She was in the 4H Vet program for 4 years. She worked at another vet clinic for 5 years. She has two horses and a red heeler named Ron Weasley. She is working on getting her associates from Blinn and then transfer to Texas A&M to attend veterinary school.


Jennifer – Kennel Technician

Jennifer joined the Philips Veterinary Hospital team in November of 2015. She is happily married to Kirk Wilson & has 3 beautiful children. In addition to her children, Jennifer has 1 dog, several rescue horses & raises Beef Master cattle. This allows Jennifer to pursue her passion outside of the workplace. In the future, Jennifer aspires to further broaden her veterinary knowledge & skill by working at Philips Veterinary Hospital.


Paula – Kennel Technician

Paula has worked for Philips Veterinary Hospital for 2 years. Her mother, Tina also works here. She loves to read, watch films, and enjoys time with her family. Paula is currently attending Blinn College so she can get her associates in Sociology. After her 2 years at Blinn she is planning to transfer to the University of Texas Arlington.
